The 2025 WSOP Toronto took place Apr 10 – 22, 2025. The full WSOPC Toronto 2025 schedule featured 11 events, three more than the inaugural series, with buy-ins ranging from C$300 up to C$3,500.

The C$2,000 Main Event didn’t have a guarantee, but the organizers expect the final prize pool to exceed C$3,000,000. This prediction came true, as the tournament ended up dishing out C$3,740,000, with the winner taking home $510,000.

The C$3,500 High Roller was expected to reach C$1.1 million in prizes, but it came somewhat short, as the final prize pool amounted to C$906,465.

The 2025 WSOPC Toronto Main Event was a multi-day event that kicked off on Apr 17 and things wrapped up on Apr 21.

The buy-in for the tournament was C$2,000 and the estimated prize pool is C$3,000,000. In the end, the event attracted 2,139 entries, which was more than enough to smash that prediction, bringing the total prize pool to C$3,740,000.

It was Pengxiang R who took the lion’s share of the purse, triumphing in the event and pocketing C$510,245 for his efforts. One of the players who qualified online for just $50, Joe Balsano, made it all the way to fifth place, cashing for C$136,292.

Qualify Online with Satellites on GGPoker

With the WSOPC Toronto 2025 over, there are currently no online satellites running for the 2026 festival. When the new event is announced, we expect online satellites to be available on GGPoker and GGPoker Ontario, and we’ll update this page with the new information on qualifiers as it becomes available.

2024 WSOP Toronto Summary & Results

The first-ever WSOP Toronto took place March 22 – April 1, 2024 at Great Canadian Resort. The schedule consisted of eight ring-awarding events, including the C$2,000 Main Event.

By the time it was all said and done, the series saw a total of over 6,000 entries across all events, including 324 players who qualified online via GGPoker and GGPoker Ontario. This resulted in the overall prize pool in excess of C$5.5 million, which blew the original expectation of around $4 million out of the water.

The C$2,000 Main Event ended up attracting 1,600 entries and creating the prize pool of $2.8 million, which also exceeded the expectations. The interest for the tournament was very high so the number of entries would have been even bigger, but the venue’s capacity was limited.

In the end, the title went to Khaled Aljoma, who pocketed $427,191 for his efforts. A grand total of 240 players made money, with everyone taking home at least C$2,948.
