2025 WSOP Main Event Schedule: Dates Flights & Final Table

What’s the Schedule for the 2025 WSOP Main Event?

The 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event took place from July 2 to July 16, 2025, at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. It was the famous $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, where players competed for poker’s most prestigious bracelet and a multi-million-dollar first-place prize.

Main Event Dates and Location

The Main Event began on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, and ended on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The tournament was hosted at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, the two connected casinos that have hosted the WSOP since 2022.

The event was part of the larger 2025 WSOP festival, which ran from May 27 through July 16. That year’s series featured a record 100 bracelet events, with the $10,000 Main Event serving as the centerpiece.

Four Starting Flights

The 2025 Main Event used four starting flights, giving players several chances to enter. Each flight started at 12:00 p.m. Las Vegas time.

Date Starting Flight
Wednesday, July 2 Day 1A
Thursday, July 3 Day 1B
Friday, July 4 Day 1C
Saturday, July 5 Day 1D

Players could enter only one starting flight. If they survived Day 1, they advanced to the combined Day 2 sessions; if they busted, they could not re-enter the Main Event because it was a freezeout tournament.

Daily Schedule After Day 1

After the four opening flights, the remaining players returned for several combined Day 2 sessions. The schedule then moved into Day 3 and continued with daily play until the final table.

Date Time Tournament Day
Sunday, July 6 12:00 p.m. Day 2A, 2B, and 2C
Monday, July 7 12:00 p.m. Day 2D
Tuesday, July 8 12:00 p.m. Day 3
Wednesday, July 9 12:00 p.m. Day 4
Thursday, July 10 12:00 p.m. Day 5
Friday, July 11 12:00 p.m. Day 6
Saturday, July 12 12:00 p.m. Day 7
Sunday, July 13 12:00 p.m. Day 8
Monday, July 14 Off day Day 9
Tuesday, July 15 1:30 p.m. Final Table, Day 10
Wednesday, July 16 1:30 p.m. Final Table, Day 11

Final Table Schedule

The final table was played over two days: July 15 and July 16. Play began later than the earlier days, at 1:30 p.m. Las Vegas time, to allow for television and livestream production.

On July 15, the finalists played down toward the conclusion of the tournament. The remaining players returned on July 16 to determine the champion and award the WSOP Main Event bracelet.

Buy-In and Tournament Format

The Main Event buy-in was $10,000. It was a No-Limit Hold’em freezeout, meaning players could not buy back in after losing all their chips.

This format made the event especially challenging because every player had only one shot to advance. A player who lost their stack on Day 1A, for example, could not enter Day 1B or Day 1C later that week.

Why the Schedule Matters

The Main Event schedule was designed around the July 4 holiday weekend, which is one of the busiest times for poker in Las Vegas. The four starting flights from July 2 to July 5 gave recreational players, professionals, and online qualifiers flexible options to participate.

The two-week structure also allowed the field to shrink gradually. By the time the final table arrived on July 15, only the last remaining players competed for the title, with the winner crowned on July 16.
