Last updated: June 5, 2025
The full WSOP 2025 schedule has been released. Buy-ins will range between $300 and go all the way to $25,000. There will be less freezeout events this year, but 6 new events have been added.
New events include TORSE, a twist on HORSE, a $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, and new high roller tournaments include $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event and a $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed 8-Handed. The $1,500 Mixed Bomb Pot Double event introduced last year will now only play out in a PLO-only format, with No-Limit Hold’em element removed.
Another new event is Battle of the Ages that is two-day event split into two sections: one exclusively for players over 50 and the other for those under 50. It comes with a buy-in of $1,000.
New WSOP 2025 Events- #14 $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed (8-Handed) (3 day event)
- #24 $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Double Board Bomb Pot (8 handed) (3 day event)
- #59 $1,000 Battle of the Ages Over 50 / Under 50 No-Limit Hold’em (Flight A = Over 50, Flight B = Under 50)
- #79 $100,000 HIGHROLLER Pot-Limit Omaha (3 day event)
- #87 $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em (1-day event)
- #93 $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. (8-Handed) (3 day event)
Events that wont be appearing this year include Flip & Go by GGPoker, The Champions Reunion Freezeout and the $3,000 HORSE event.
Like previous years most WSOP tournaments don’t feature guaranteed prize pools.
However, there are always some that do. For example, the Gladiators of Poker NLH, has a $3 million guaranteed prize pool. The Millionaire Maker and Mystery Millions don’t guarantee prize pools but ensure a $1 million first-place payout.
Fan favorite events return such as Mystery Millions and the Gladiators of Poker Event. Other events have had slight name changes such as the Casino Employees No Limit Hold’em event changing to a broader Industry Employees event.

How to Qualify Online for WSOP 2025
Online qualifiers to the WSOP Main Event 2025 are already underway in US markets over on WSOP Online as well as for international players on GGPoker. Promotions are running in New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan and Pennsylvania offering players simple ways to win their way to coveted WSOP Main Event. These often run monthly and give players simple ways of winning their way to the Main Event for much less than if they bought in directly.
WSOP Main Event online qualifiers underway on WSOP Online For international players, GGPoker is the place to enter online qualifiers and satellites. In 2024, the operator sent 1,000 players to the Main Event (via its international and Ontario platforms), and with the 2024 tournament breaking the attendance record, there will be a lot of motivation to try and send even more qualifiers to Las Vegas for 2025.
As always, there is good mix of direct qualifiers and various path-based satellites, where players will be able to win WSOP entries starting with as little as $1 or even through freerolls.
Online Qualifier for Players in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nevada and Michigan
Players on WSOP Online can now play in the combined market of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nevada and Michigan.
Look out for promotions that will help you qualify to the Main Event for less.
Each month they run simple promotions for players to get their hands on a Main Event ticket. For example, new and existing players are often treated to entry into a Main Event Freeroll by just making an eligible deposit. This is a really simple way of qualifying for a Main Event seat. Online satellites will also run.

WSOP 2025 Main Event
It has been confirmed the WSOP Main Event 2025 will run from July 2 through until the end of the event on July 16, 2025. The full schedule has been released which you can find below.
The WSOP 2025 Main Event will take place in the first week of July, coinciding with the US Independence Day holiday, and will include four Day 1s. We can expect that the first-place prize could be approximately $10 million, regardless of whether the Main Event breaks the attendance record again. Also, it is likely that the minimum payout will be set at $15,000, with around 15% of the participants receiving payouts.
Keep an eye out for qualifiers and satellites, as they offer players more affordable ways to enter.
Online Promotions to WSOP Main Event
The WSOP Online are currently running monthly promotions giving away Main Event seats — which can be won by players in Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Jersey and Michigan. Players in the international player pool, will have to wait for GGPoker to run their Main Event give away. There are usually a variety of different ways to win a Main Event seat for less, via depositor freerolls, online satellites and Vegas packages.
After the Main Event attendance record has remained untouched for over a decade, it was broken two years in a row — in 2023 and then again in 2024.Can the 2025 WSOP Main Event continue down this path and make it a trifecta?
It is certainly too early to tell, but it is not out of the realm of possibilities. To do so, the 2025 tournament will need to have at least 10,113 participants.
The WSOP Main Event is the most anticipated event of the year and is known for creating the highest number of millionaires in a single tournament.

New Tournament Rules for 2025
The 2025 WSOP will ban phones and all electronic devices from the final three tables of all tournaments.
While mobile phones have been restricted from use during hands and required to be kept on silent these new rules go a step further, stating that all electronic devices must be completely removed from the table and are strictly prohibited from use. This will apply to the final three tables.
Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
No device will be allowed at any time during a featured or streamed tables. Players can only access their devices during breaks or after elimination. In addition, no coaching will be allowed from anywhere within the tournament room.
The new rules also prohibit the use (from players and spectators) of using charts, apps, artificial intelligence, or any other form of electronic assistance. This ruling follows the controversy during the 2024 WSOP Main Event Final Table, where a player’s rail was accused of using solver tools during heads-up play.

WSOP+ App at the 2025 World Series of Poker
One thing we already know is that the WSOP will finally make its WSOP+ app available for the 2025 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. This free app is designed to completely streamline your WSOP experience, allowing you to easily stay up to date with the latest announcements, keep track of the tournament clock, and easily find out any other info you need. It is now mandatory for any player looking to register for an event.
We recommend downloading the WSOP+ app before arriving in Las Vegas, as you need to have an active WSOP+ account to register for any WSOP Event.
You will need a valid ID and a Caesars Rewards number to register for the WSOP+ app. For those people attending who do not have a smart phone on site staff can assist you once in Vegas, but you will need an email address.
The WSOP+ app has already been used at other festivals like the Bahamas, but this is the first time that it will be available for the main live series in Las Vegas.
To pay for buy-ins, you’ll need to register a payment method with your account:
- ACH (available to US players only)
- Credit cards
- PayPal
- Luxon Pay (available to non-US players only)
- WSOP Online Qualifiers
- Paris Tournament Accounts (funded in person at the WSOP cage)
For 2025 there is a change to the fee structure.
There is now a simplified 3% flat fee for all major credit cards. The new structure also removes the old $3 flat fee and no longer clarifies that these fees are not retained by WSOP or its host venues.
No fees will apply when purchasing tournament entries using ACH, PayPal, Luxon Pay, or Paris Tournament Accounts.

Who to Expect at the WSOP 2025
The WSOP 2025 attracts poker players from across the globe but we can always expect to see famous poker faces at the tables too.
Daniel Negreanu is a firm fixture at the WSOP and in recent years has taken to vlogging every day over the course of the series. In 2024 Negreanu won a WSOP bracelet and his vlog captured the journey!
Pros like Phil Ivey, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, Ike Haxton, Fedor Holz, Tom Dwan, Kristen Foxen and Alex Foxen will probably all make appearances. In 2024 Kristen Foxen was the last woman standing in the WSOP 2024 Main Event, busting out on this hand and finishing in 13th place, a truly awesome achievement. In 2025 can she do even better?
Someone we may not see make another preposterous entrance to the WSOP Main Event is Phil Hellmuth. In a spectacle that players both come to loath and expect, Hellmuth never fails to make headlines when he enters the Main Event tournament. However, this year he has stated that this year he is not going to play the Main Event — calling it an endurance contest.
Where To Watch the World Series of Poker 2025
If you cant make it to Vegas in person, there are plenty of ways to keep tabs on the World Series. The WSOP website keeps track of chips counts and live reporting you can you stay on top of the action.
Vlogs airing on YouTube is a great way to follow along with your favorite pros as if you were right there. Daniel Negreanu has been producing daily WSOP vlogs for many years now, giving viewers a chance to go behind the scenes as Daniel often battles it out for Player of the Year and of course bracelet victory.
PokerGO Streaming Schedule
PokerGO is back at the helm of the streaming schedule for the 2025 WSOP. Coverage starts on May 31 with select coverage running for the entire series. Main Event coverage will start on July 2 and run through until the end of the event on July 16.
Although the streaming schedule is significantly paired back from last year, there is plenty of coverage to get stuck into.

The World Series of Poker Under New Ownership
As of August 2024, the WSOP is owned by the parent company of GGPoker, changing hands for $500 million.
Two weeks after the record-breaking WSOP 2024 wrapped in Las Vegas, Caesars Entertainment agreed to sell their entire WSOP brand to the parent company of GGPoker.
Caesars said via a statement that GGPoker’s parent company NSUS Group Incorporated would pay $250 million up front, with the remaining $250 million due five years after the closing date of the transaction. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, and if that remains on target repayment would be complete by 2029.
However, fans of the WSOP brand will be pleased to hear that drastic changes to live events are not happening any time soon. As part of the deal, Caesars “secured the right from NSUS to continue hosting” the WSOP live tournament series from its Las Vegas properties for the next 20 years.
WSOP Circuit events will also continue to be operated and held in Caesars properties under the WSOP branding — but cross promotion with the GGPoker brand is also to be expected.
Online the WSOP Online remains a stand alone brand with GGPoker sites only appearing in Ontario and rest of world markets. Whether this changes in the future remains to be seen.
