WSOP Event #1: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Millions - Flight A
Today on Day One of the 2025 World Series of Poker, two popular events begin as players chase the first WSOP bracelets of the summer.
Starting at 12 PM local time, the first flight of the $1,000 Mystery Millions tournament begins. Not only will Mystery Millions entrants be competing for the guaranteed first place prize of $1,000,000 along with a WSOP bracelet, they will also be in the running to win a pair of $1,000,000 mystery bounties once they reach Day 2.Coming into the 2025 WSOP as the reigning Mystery Millions champion, Australian poker player Malcolm Trayner took down the Mystery Millions in 2024 to win his lone career WSOP bracelet and $1,000,000.
Although they did not go the distance in last year’s Mystery Millions, Valentyn Shabelnyk and DJ Buckley likely still felt like winners as both players pulled $1,000,000 bounties during the 2024 WSOP.

WSOP Event #2: $500 Industry Employees No-Limit Hold’em
A staple of the beginning of every WSOP, the $500 Industry Employees No-Limit Hold’em tournament begins today at 2 PM.
A closed event to individuals who work in the gaming industry, the Industry Employees tournament provides an opportunity for the hardworking people who help sustain the poker industry and make the WSOP what it is today.
During the last WSOP in 2024, Albuquerque-based poker dealer Jose Garcia won his first career bracelet and $79,134 when he finished on top of the podium in the $500 Industry Employees tournament.
On behalf of the WSOP Media Team, we wish all participants in this year’s Industry Employees event the best of luck, and thank them for their contributions to the poker industry.
