Mrinal Gujare EditorLast updated: 18 Feb 2025 ShareMrinal Gujare18 Feb 2025Share this articleGGPoker released the much awaited 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) full schedule with 100 bracelet events. Below is a breakdown of the most prominent changes, newly introduced tournaments and more. The long wait for WSOP 2025 full schedule was finally over when GGPoker revealed the 100 bracelet tournament series starting May 27. The WSOP 2025 schedule comes packed with a mix of staple events and some upgrades. While the core structure majorly remains the same, several new events, structural tweaks, and timings have been changed. GGPoker released an 11-page line-up of events and browsing through all the details could get overwhelming. Highlights of WSOP 2025 Full Schedule The 2025 WSOP event will host 100 bracelet events for the first time. This is a major milestone in the history of the live poker brand which was bought by GGPoker last year for $500 million. The poker fest in Las Vegas is set to run from May 27 to July 16, with the Main Event kicking off on July 2 with a buy-in of $10,000.Six new tournaments have been added to the list, which cater to both mixed-game and high-stakes players.- T.O.R.S.E. – A variation of H.O.R.S.E. that swaps Limit Hold’em with Triple Draw. This replaces the discontinued $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event. Battle of the Ages – This one is a two-day event with separate fields for players over 50 and those who are 50 years of age or younger. This event comes with a $1,000 buy-in. New High Roller Events – The WSOP 2025 schedule includes a $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed 8-Handed tournament and a $100,000 PLO event. Super Turbo Bounty – A $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty NLH event has been added with one re-entry option. PLODouble Board Bomb Pot – The previous $1,500 Mixed Bomb Pot event (NLHE/PLO) is now revised as an PLO-only event. Lesser Freezeouts, More Re-Entry Options When compared to last year, the number of freezeout tournaments have been cut down. The 2025 schedule has 24 freezeouts, as compared to 35 which were offered last year. More events now permit re-entries. This gives players a chance to fire more bullets.Re-entry rules have been updated in select high-stakes events, such as the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship, the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, and the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship. These changes offer more flexibility for players with deeper bankrolls, while it may not appeal to those who prefer traditional single-entry formats. More starting day flights for popular events The WSOP 2025 full schedule has upped the number of starting day flights for its most popular tournaments to attract a larger player pool. Events such as Mystery Millions, Colossus, Monster Stack, and the Mini Main Event now have four to five flights. The Colossus buy-in now stands at $500 (previously $400) with the starting stack also being boosted.Blind levels and late registrationSome structural changes have been implemented as well that focus on blind levels and late registration for events:- Events with varying blind levels (40/60/90 minutes) have been standardized to 60/90 minutes. The $100,000 High Roller NLH now offers extended 60-minute blind levels instead of 40 minutes, while its late registration period has been cut short. The $50,000 Poker Players Championship now allows 10 levels of late registration, up from nine. The $500 WSOP Kickoff NLHFreezeout has been rescheduled to a later date, with a minor adjustment being made to the blind levels (changed from 11 to 12 minutes). Event timing and slot changes Several events have been moved within the schedule:- The series will open with the $1,000 Mystery Millions. The $300 Gladiators of Poker event has been scheduled for a later date. The Tag Team event has been rescheduled to a different time slot. Main Eventsatellite days will now run from July 1 to 7. This means the satellite period has been extended by a day. More side events will run alongside the Main Event’s Day 1 flights. What’s missing in the WSOP 2025 schedule? A few events have been skipped in the WSOP 2025 full schedule as below: $5,000 Champions Reunion Freezeout $1,000 Flip & Go by GGPoker $3,000 HORSE (replaced by T.O.R.S.E.) Furthermore, some events have been renamed such as:- The $500 Casino Employees Event is now called Industry Employees. The Independence Day event has been rebranded as Summer Celebration, with the buy-in ($800) staying the same. Higher buy-ins and fees While buy-ins added in the 56th edition of WSOP continue to range between $300 to $250,000, the average buy-in level is up from $9,817 in 2024 to $10,960 in 2025. This denotes a 12% rise. Some buy-in fees have also been bumped up:- The fee for $500 buy-in events is up from 16% to 17%. The fee for $600 buy-in events has gone up from 15% to 16%.
